Pension 65: more than 15,000 older adults received economic support of S/300

This Sunday, August 13, the Pension 65 program of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) once again exclusively served thousands of its users, in coordination with other ministries, regional governments, municipalities and other allied institutions.

This new edition of Domingos de Pensión 65 was carried out in 11 regions through 16 branches of Banco de la Nación in Ayacucho, Huaraz, Cajamarca, Jaén, Santa Tomás (Cusco), Sicuani, Huánuco, Pichanaqui, Iquitos, Yurimaguas, Piura, Juliaca, Puno, Nueva Cajamarca (San Martín), Moyobamba and Pucallpa, which opened their doors at 7 am

This day corresponded to the payment of July and August 2023. In total, 15,211 older adults were served among the 16 banking agencies. It should be remembered that only for this year, the bimonthly subsidy that each user receives amounts to S/300.

Additional activities for the benefit of the elderly

From Pucallpa, the executive director of Pensión 65, Julio Mendigure Fernández, highlighted that these Sunday payouts are carried out together with a series of complementary activities such as vaccine applications by the Ministry of Health (Minsa)updating of fingerprints of the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) and entrepreneurship fairs of this same social program.

“Pension 65 seeks that its users have access to an economic subsidy and also to other services in favor of their well-being. For this reason, our management teams coordinate with various public and private institutions so that the payouts are much more than money deliveries, ”he stressed.

Also present were the executive director of the Department of Immunizations of the Minsa, María Elena Martínez Barrera, and the regional manager of Social Development, Rocío Villavicencio Cueva, who also highlighted the importance of various levels of government articulate to bring State services closer to the population, especially those in vulnerable situations.

Payment will continue at Banco de la Nación branches from August 15 to September 14 at the usual hours of each one.
