The Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation (Corpác) reopened this Friday, July 21, the Fernando Belaunde Terry airport in Jaén (Cajamarca) after completing a series of maintenance works.
According to Corpác data, more than S/4.5 million were invested to fix the runway, signaling, and passenger terminal.
They added that the executed works satisfactorily passed all transit tests to guarantee the safety of flights arriving and departing from the Jaén airport.
It is worth noting that this terminal is key for the connection with Cajamarca and Amazonas from Lima, for the benefit of tourists interested in visiting the Kuélap fortress and the Gocta waterfalls.
