In his underwear, with his pants coming down, a Mexican deputy was left behind as he addressed a group of supporters at a public event, and in front of the cameras, in a city in Mexico.

Parliamentarian Francisco Javier Borrego Adame, of the National Regeneration Movement party, better known as Morena, is the one who lived through that awkward moment that took over social networks and television newsrooms.

The embarrassing incident happened when he was participating in an information meeting in the San Pedro de las Colonias Municipality, located in Coahuila.

Borrego, who was reading a speech to supporters, decided to adjust his glasses and it was at that moment that the waistband gave way and the pants rolled, leaving the deputy in his underwear and in a hurry to get the important piece of clothing back up.

Among the audience, it was difficult for some to contain laughter.

what did the deputy say

Francisco Borrego is a businessman with ties to the transportation industry, Milenio reported when he specified who the deputy sheriff was who had suffered the mishap with his clothing.

Two days after the embarrassing accident, Borrego explained why he was left without pants and lamented the mocking tone with which the incident was taken.

“Unfortunately I can say that I had a problem because of the weight loss I gave as a result of my spine surgery and well, the accident that many media reported nationally, in my state, in the United States, happened to me… When I stopped to give my closing speech at the event, unfortunately my pants fell off,” he shared.

Earlier, according to a TV narrator, he would have noticed that the post-operative belt came loose and his pants fell.

The deputy denounces bullying

“I think we should respect the disabled. I am a disabled person who has been operated on for a month and a half. I don’t think it’s fair for a disabled person to be bullied. That is a lack of respect for any patient,” he said.

Borrego lamented that the day after the controversial episode, in the form of bullying, several fellow senators reminded him of the case and one of them gave him suspenders “so that what happened to me doesn’t happen again” in Coahuila.

His godfather and senator to Morena, Armando Guadiana, was the one who gave him the gift.

At this time, after the bitter drink, Borrego started using the braces, as he showed in front of the cameras.
