The National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) announced that will enable the Tax Committee with Unions, with the objective of being a space for permanent dialogue with the business sector to address different technical issues in tax matters, as well as reveal proposals for improvement regarding the services provided to taxpayers.
In addition, Sunat hopes to strengthen trust between both parties, as well as create an adequate environment for voluntary and timely compliance with tax obligations. For this reason, it has been foreseen that both the private sector and the Tax Administration can propose matters that are of their interest to be discussed at the meetings.
Opening and first session topics
The inauguration and first meeting of this committee will be held this Friday, June 2. In said meeting, the Compliance Improvement Plan will be reviewed, which covers the pillars of massive risk management, international taxation, collaborative compliance and digital transformation, deepening the measures of transparency and tax certainty.
The Electronic Remittance Guide and Integrated Electronic Registration System, new services implemented by Sunat for taxpayers, will also be taken into account.
This session will be chaired by the national superintendent, Enrique Vera Castillo, who will be accompanied by the deputy national superintendents of Customs and Internal Taxes, as well as other managers, who will be in charge of implementing the initiatives that will be discussed.

Representatives of business associations such as the Association of Exporters (ADEX), the National Fisheries Society (SNP), the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (Amcham) and the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (Confiep) will participate.
Likewise, members of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE), Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (COMEX PERÚ), Association of Banks of Peru (Asbanc), Peruvian-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIPJ), Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL) and the National Society of Industries (SNI).
Sunat informed that the next meetings will be held in the months of August and November.
