What is reduflation?

Reduction, also known as ‘invisible inflation’, consists of reducing the quantity, size or number of units of a product that is sold to the consumer while maintaining or raising its price.

In this regard, Aspec points out that this ancient practice is legal as long as the reduction in the amount of the product is visibly reported on the packaging. Finally, he recommends checking the packaging in detail and, if this phenomenon is noticed, looking for and buying a substitute product.
