Exceeds sales volume of more than 57 million dollars a year reaching new international markets. This is the goal that Aglomerados Cotopaxi has set for this year 2023, after achieving 20 million dollars in exports in 2022.

Bernardo Pérez, executive director of a timber companyhe pointed out that Ecuador still has great challenges in the field of exports and that 2023 is the year in which they hope to have a sustainable growth agenda.

“We are interested in producing more, exporting more and creating more jobs in our area of ​​influence. Everything is a chain that as a result has a positive effect on the economy, environment and society,” said the executive director.

Moderate growth of exports of wood, plastic and products in dollars; in contrast to fewer volumes delivered

The main clients of Aglomerados Cotopaxi are Canada, United States, Honduras, Panama, Colombia and Peru, and for this year they plan to expand to the new markets of North America and the Caribbean, thereby increasing the volume of sales.

The products that the company exports are raw chipboard or RH (moisture resistant) and coated with melamine paper; raw or RH MDF boards, lined with melamine paper or wood veneer; and MDF moldings finished with plaster, in various versions according to the needs of the customer.

Cotopaxi noted that by November 2022, Ecuador’s non-oil and mining exports had grown by 17% compared to 2021, which means that private companies are the driving force and revitalizing source of the country’s economy.
