Where to eat well in Rus’: the results of the WHERETOEAT RUSSIA 2023 award were announced in St. Petersburg

In the main hall of the Russian Ethnographic Museum in St. Petersburg, the results of the 10th anniversary National Restaurant Award WHERETOEAT RUSSIA 2023 were announced.

The main award for the second time was received by the St. Petersburg restaurant Birch (chef – Khezret-Arslan Berdiev) – for the first time this happened at WTE RUSSIA 2021. Thus, the main trophy – an antique silver bowl – returned to Birch from the Moscow Twins Garden, which won it in 2022. In total, 4 restaurants from St. Petersburg, 5 from Moscow and 1 from Krasnoyarsk were in the top 10 according to WTE RUSSIA 2023:

  3. Bourgeois Bohemians, St. Petersburg;
  4. White Rabbit, Moscow;
  5. SAVVA, Moscow;
  6. Harvest, St. Petersburg;
  7. AVA, Moscow;
  8. Frantsuza Bistrot, St. Petersburg;
  9. Folk, Moscow;
  10. 0.75 Please Wine & Kitchen, Krasnoyarsk.

Vladimir Mukhin, brand chef of the White Rabbit Family (Moscow), won in the special nomination “Chef of the Year”.

“Sommelier of the Year” became the sommelier of the Moscow restaurants Maya and Jun Evgenia Nazimova.

The best “Bar of the year” was Nobody Knows I Suppose (Novosibirsk).

Ivan and Sergey Berezutsky (Moscow) were awarded a special prize “For Contribution to the Development of the Restaurant Industry”.

Bourgeois Bohemians, brothers Artem and Alexei Grebenshchikov, received the most awards – the most honorable “Media Choice”, a new prize “Confectioner of the Year” (Alexey Grebenshchikov) and, finally, bronze 3rd place in the overall rating of the best restaurants in Russia.

The title of “Restaurateur of the Year” was awarded to Anton Pinsky (Pinskiy & Co, Moscow).

Cafe Pushkin (Moscow) won in the new special nomination “Restaurant-Legend”.

Vladislav Dikhtenko from the Co-Co Chalet restaurant (Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana) became the “Waiter of the Year” according to “netmonet”.

The solemn anniversary ceremony was attended by more than 700 guests from all over Russia – chefs, restaurateurs, restaurant journalists, sponsors, specialists from related industries and city representatives from the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee.
