Euskaraz irakurri: ELAk Osakidetzako garbitzaileen greba apirilaren 30era luzatzea erabaki du
The Union ELA has decided to extend the strike at the Osakidetza cleaning service throughout the month, until April 30. They assure that the business side and Osakidetza do not want to assume their responsibility in the conflict and point out that they use mechanisms to “hinder the strike.”
In this sense, they have wanted to denounce that the Basque Government has ordered a new extraordinary cleaning, in this case in the Mendaro Hospital, “violating the right to strike” and that its “objective is to hinder and demoralize the strikers”.
However, he has affirmed that the workers “remain strong in their decision” and that they have decided to continue until the end of this month. ELA is of the opinion that this conflict “will only be resolved with the negotiation and payment of the professional career”.
In this sense, welcomes the start of negotiations. Last week a meeting was held with the Department of Labor of the Basque Government, in which ELA “demanded that all means be used to try to unblock the situation.” The parties are summoned to continue with the negotiation next week.
ELA calls for “the rest of unions who have currently left the path of strike second the calls“and has called for two mobilizations for the next few days: on April 13 at the Hospital de Donostia and on April 14 in front of the Basque Parliament in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
