ELA, Steilas, CCOO, LAB and UGT have called a day of strike in the Social Initiative teaching centers for next April 25 with the aim of denouncing that the negotiation of the new agreement is blocked.
Faced with what they call “management immobility”, the unions have made the decision to initiate mobilizations, beginning on March 23 with a concentration in front of the Jesuitas de Bilbao school at 11:00 a.m., and continuing with a day of strike on March 25. April.
As reported through a joint note, in the 13 meetings held to negotiate the new agreement “the employers have shown no willingness to negotiate.” Moreover, the centrals have denounced that they have even raised “setbacks” with respect to some of the content obtained in the previous agreement.
The last meeting of the negotiating table was held on February 2, which ended without a date for a next meeting.
These are the main claims unions: measures to alleviate workloads, improvements for the most feminized and precarious sectors, wage increases based on the CPI, measures to maintain jobs and improvements for Vocational Training. The Basque language plans, the equality plans and the plans to address occupational health are also in the crosshairs of the unions.
