He Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) confirmed the extension, until June 2023, of the maximum acceptance period for the rescheduling of credits granted through the National Government Guarantee Program for Continuity in the Payment Chain (Reactiva Peru) and the Business Support Fund for the Tourism Sector (FAE-Tourism).

The measure was ordered by Emergency Decree No. 026-2022, published last December, and is part of the Peru Impulse Plan, which seeks to reactivate the national economy after the international crisis generated last year. The norm, in the same way, extends the validity of Emergency Decrees No. 011-2022, No. 004-2022 and No. 012-2022.

Through ministerial resolution No. 074-2023-EF/15, which modifies the Operating Regulations of the Reactiva Peru Program, and ministerial resolution No. 073-2023-EF/15, which modifies the Operating Regulations of the FAE Mype, facilities are established to allow companies, especially micro and small (mypes), to request new rescheduling of their financial commitments and obtain new credits.

As recalled, at the end of the Reactiva Peru program, loans were granted for S/ 58,044 million (S/ 52,328 million with a government guarantee), benefiting more than 502,000 companies from all economic sectors nationwide (98% mypes), at historical minimum rates between 1% and 4%.

Originally, Reactiva Perú authorized the issuance of guarantees for up to S/60,000 million for loans with a maximum of 36 months, including a grace period of up to 12 months.

For its part, FAE-Turismo is a Fund created to finance only mypes in the tourism sector, through credits for working capital of up to S/750,000 and up to 98% coverage, with up to 18 months of grace and 42 months. repayment.
