With Punche Peru: they transfer S/176.9 million for purchases from manufacturing mypes affected by protests

He Executive power authorized the transfer of items in the Public Sector Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 up to the sum of S/176 million 987,344 in favor of the Ministry of Production and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion. This, to finance the acquisition of goods manufactured by micro and small companies (mypes), at the request and for the benefit of the Ministry of Interiorcharged to the resources of the Contingency Reserve of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

He Emergency Decree No. 005-2023published today in El Peruano, indicates that the measure is intended to meet the need for the acquisition of goods for the staff of the National Police of Peruthrough the modality of Purchasing Implementation Nucleithat contribute to the economic reactivation of manufacturing mypes, which have been affected by the economic context generated from recent social conflicts.

The norm, in its considerations, specifies that it is framed within the Economic Reactivation Plan With Punche Peru, presented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, which aims to boost the economy of the regions and sectors affected by the international and local context.

“The current economic and social situation, local and international, has caused a sustained reduction in company income, harming the entire business sector, especially micro and small companies (mypes), which are currently in a situation of vulnerability”, underlines the legal provision.

In this sense, it stands out that the economic crisis caused by the protests has led to the total or partial suspension of productive activities and around 237,377 companies were affected (236,543 mypes and 834 medium and large companies, harming more than 237,000 families).

In addition, it is estimated that the mypes would have stopped generating income for S/75.4 million per day of stoppage, while in medium and large companies they amount to S/113.4 million per day.

It also details that the social upheaval affected 73,679 manufacturing companies (72,759 mypes and 920 medium and large companies), being Lima (53,604), Puno (4,863), Cusco (2,804), Cajamarca (2,404), Arequipa (2,231), Tacna (1,564), Madre de Dios (1,027) and Moquegua (841) the most affected regions, which together represent 94.1%.

It should be noted that this emergency decree is valid until December 31, 2023. Likewise, it is endorsed by the president of the Council of Ministers and the heads of the MEF, Produce and Midis.
