2023 Electricity Bond is approved: who will be beneficiaries, how much will they receive and how does it work?

He Congress approved the delivery of the 2023 Electricity Bond to help the most vulnerable population in paying their electricity bills and the continuity of the regular supply of this service. According to Law 31688which creates the Electricity Bonusthe monetary subsidy will be applied in favor of categorized residential users. Who are they, how much is the amount and how does it work? As established by law, the Electricity Bonus 2023 consists of the exceptional, temporary and unique granting of an amount for the electricity supply of up to S/30, which will be distributed among three receipts of up to S/10.

Who will be the beneficiaries of the Electricity Bonus?

Residential users of this service will be beneficiaries of this Electricity Bonus that have average consumption of up to 100 kilowatts per hour per monthconsidering expenses greater than zero, during the months included in the period of August 2021 – July 2022.

The aforementioned standard states that the beneficiary user must be within the low, medium-low and medium stratum, according to the plan stratified by blocks of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).
