Valentine’s Day: sales of chocolate would increase 12%

Despite the social crisis and roadblocks, distribution of chocolate for this February 14 is assured.

February 14 is one of the most important dates for many businesses, especially those that sell chocolates. Giving chocolates, cakes, sweets, among other desserts, can become one of the most common details that lovers give to Valentine’s Day.

Along these lines, the Ibérica chocolate brand from Arequipa pointed out that for this campaign “Say it with chocolate” they expect to grow 12%, since sales would have a good rebound during this holiday that celebrates love and friendship. In addition, for this 2023, they are projected to reach a 15% elevation nationwide in their 54 commercial points throughout Peru.

This occurs after, in 2022, the social crisis affected the company’s production, which reduced its sales by up to 6%. “Despite the blockades on the highways, which prevented regular supply in areas such as Lima, Cusco and Puno, generating a 6% drop in sales, it was possible to close the year with a 16% total growth,” said Bernardo Suárez. , General manager.
