This afternoon, in the vicinity of the National Electoral Council in the supervision of filters, police officers arrested two people who apparently carried out robberies in the cdla area. The Shipyard.
Around 2:00 p.m., the gendarmes noticed that two individuals aboard a motorcycle ignored the prohibition to enter a first security filter that was established due to the electoral count that is carried out at the CNE headquarters. so a chase began.
With the support of other uniformed officers who were located in a second filter, the two citizens could be captured.
A firearm with 17 cartridges was found in one of them and a backpack containing three cell phones, apparently stolen, was searched in the other.
“From the terminals, the cell phones, which were in a backpack, it is presumed that they had been carrying out a robbery,” said Paúl Encalada, a police officer from the Florida district.
The two individuals have prior records; one has seven for robbery and possession of a weapon. The other has a judicial record for illicit association.
Minutes later, there was a patrol in the area to find a complainant, but there were no results.
Those apprehended were placed under the orders of the competent authorities. (YO)
