Talma consolidates in Latin America after acquiring Avianca company

The Peruvian company Talma, of the Sandoval Group, announced the successful completion of the process to purchase all the shares of the Colombian company Servicios Aéreos Integrados (SAI) owned by the airline Avianca. The transaction was made through the holding company TSA Investments Inc. SA, based in Peru.

SAI operates in the Colombian airports of Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Armenia, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Montería, Ibagué, Neiva, Pereira and Pasto, where it mainly provides ground assistance, passenger service and baggage dispatch services. This is the second acquisition made by Talma in Colombia. In 2019, it acquired the airport services company LASA, based in Medellín.

Arturo Cassinelli, Corporate General Manager of Talma, pointed out that the acquisition is part of the regional expansion plan that the company began in 2010 with its entry into the Mexican market and continued with the acquisition of a ramp services company in Ecuador in 2017. .

Today, the company specialized in airport services and air logistics has a presence in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico, and has become the largest airport services company in Latin America.

What services does Talma provide?

Talma was founded in 1992, it has a presence in 20 airports in Peru, three in Mexico, eight in Ecuador and 20 in Colombia. It has 9,000 employees and together serves more than 50 airlines as permanent customers, It currently handles 280,000 metric tons of air cargo and will attend, with the incorporation of SAI, an average of 382,000 flights per year.

In addition to ramp and cargo services, it provides passenger services, online aircraft maintenance, executive aviation care, among others.
