Interviewed in space’12 minutes‘ by Arantza Ruiz, Miguel Zugaza Mirandadirector of the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, has confessed that he hopes that the launch of the digital version of the art gallery and the opening of the expanded museum coincide in time.
“We would like to open the doors of the two museums at the same time, this new museum that will emerge from the digital experience, and the face-to-face museum, the museum that we are physically expanding,” Zugaza explained.
In this sense, it has delved into the technological commitment of the Bilbao art gallery. “I think we have to think about the museum, at the same time that we physically expand it so that they can visit us in person, we also have to think about reaching the museum’s contents and art through new technologies,” he emphasized.
For this reason, “in parallel to the expansion of the museum, there is a truly ambitious digital transformation project for the institution”, highlighted the director of the Biscayne art gallery.
