Chivite defends that Navarra “has already gone from words to deeds” in the face of the climate crisis

“We have already gone from words to deeds and we are pioneers in this matter,” affirmed the socialist policy at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow.

The president of Navarra, Maria Chivite, said this Monday that his autonomous community has already gone “from words to deeds” in the fight against climate change, with an action plan both to reduce carbon emissions and to facilitate the energy transition for homes and companies.

In statements during the climate summit COP26 in Glasgow (Scotland), Chivite has said that the climate crisis “is a citizen concern” and has assured that his Government is “very committed to both mitigation and adaptation.”

“We have already gone from words to deeds and we are pioneers in this matter,” affirmed the socialist policy, which has indicated that during its visit to the summit it shares and “values” the experience of Navarra.

Both to support the industrial sector and to promote self-consumption by households and administrations, the Government will resort to European Next Generation funds, said the president, who stressed that the energy transition will be made from “social justice” so that ” no one is left behind. “

The Minister of Rural Development and Environment, Itziar Gomez, recalled for his part that Navarra “is a region committed to environmental policies”, since for three years it has had a climate action plan with two tools, the KLINa roadmap for climate change and the energy plan 2030 of Navarra.
