Antapaccay will evacuate 2,400 workers after attacks on a mining camp in Cusco

Cusco. The company antapaccay announced the evacuation of its workers after last Thursday a group of vandals attacked the buildings where the staff was resting, in Espinar. Given this, the mining company decided to secure 2,400 people, including collaborators and contractors. The announcement was made through a statement published on their official accounts, in which they also reject violent acts during protests against the Government of Dina Boluarte and Congress.

The objective of the evacuation seeks to safeguard the integrity of the personnel. Therefore, It was ordered that only workers who carry out essential activities remain in the mining camp.

On the other hand, the company rejected the violent acts of destruction, robbery and looting. Therefore, he asked that the authorities and citizens seek dialogue and find viable solutions to the political crisis in Peru.

Last Thursday, subjects set fire to three buildings after throwing stones and causing damage.
