The former lieutenant worked as an instructor at the police training school, under the influence of alcohol he entered this place and according to the cameras, hours later, his wife did.
Cáceres left the country and was arrested on December 30. Finally, transferred to Ecuador on January 3.

The Prosecutor’s Office requested the hearing for the substitution, review, revocation or suspension of the precautionary measure and protection. The entity requested this hearing after having obtained expert evidence from María Belén Bernal’s cell phone, according to a statement.
In addition, Bernal’s defense, led by his mother, Elizabeth Otavalo, when they made a private accusation for the alleged crime of femicide, they only did so against Germán Cáceres and Lieutenant Alfonso C. also involved in the case.
