This month, on the verge of Christmas and after the approval of the public budget law for next year by the Congress of the Republic, the Pension Standardization Office (ONP) will give nearly 650,000 pensioners a extraordinary bonus of S/350 additional to the pension or benefit they receive monthly.
The monetary incentive will be intended for pensioners or beneficiaries of the National Pension System (SNP). and those included within the Special Fisheries Regime regulated by Law No. 30003, as indicated in the eighty-first complementary provision of the public budget law for 2023.
The regulation also specifies that in order to receive S/350, pensioners must have obtained such a condition, definitively, on November 30, 2022. It also indicates that if the affiliate receives more than one pension, only one bonus will be granted. .

About the payment date
Although the exact date of payment is still unknown, it depends on the promulgation of the public budget law by the Executive. Immediately afterwards, the ONP will detail the deadlines for the beneficiaries to make the collection.
The entity has not disclosed the payment method it will use on this occasion either; however, last year, the extraordinary deposit was made directly to the pensioners’ bank accounts so that they can withdraw it whenever they want.
It is important to specify that this bonus does not require additional resources from the Public Treasury.

MEF appointed new head of the ONP
On Thursday, the MEF appointed Luis Guillermo Grimaldo Parra Casas head of the Pension Standardization Office (ONP). This, after accepting the resignation of Walter Efraín Borja Rojas.
