Ecuador takes advantage of the World Cup in Qatar as a showcase to promote its products, culture and tourist attractions

Ecuador is promoted in Qatar, and not only for soccer, but also for its emblematic export products, such as roses, bananas, cocoa, coffee, toquilla straw hats, as well as its music, among other attractions that have been on display since Monday November 21 at the Ecuadorian pavilion, located in the Katara Cultural Village, in Doha.

The site is one of the spaces recommended by FIFA and by the Supreme Organizing Committee of Qatar to visit during the XXII edition of the Soccer World Cup.

The space destined for export products was installed with the contribution of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries and the Embassy of Ecuador in Qatar.

The space was officially opened at 15:00 (Qatar time). The event was tinged with the joy of the seven Ecuadorian children who came to Qatar to support the National Team as part of the Hincha de mi Barrio program, a program promoted by the Ministry of Sports.

Also present were the Vice President of the Republic, Alfredo Borrero; the ambassador of Ecuador in Qatar, Pascual del Cioppo; the Sports Minister, Sebastián Palacios; and Khalid Al Sulaiti, General Manager of the Katara Village. Accompanied by a group of Ecuadorians, they cut the inaugural ribbon of this space that will be enabled until December 1 and whose purpose is to attract the attention of travelers from all over the world who visit the Middle Eastern country to enjoy the sporting event.

During the inauguration, the singer-songwriter from jazz and corridors Alexandra Cabanilla, the violinist Martha Psyko and the marimba player Kevin Santos, who delighted those present with a repertoire of national themes, thanks to the articulation with the Ministry of Culture and Heritage.
