The thematic tables on control of prices, targeting and extractivism, that are developed within the process of reconciliation and dialogue between the indigenous sector and the Government, They will resume on July 26, as reported by the Ministry of Government through an official bulletin.

On July 26, the subject of price control will be developed; on the 27th, the second topic on fuel targeting will be held, and on August 1st, the delegates will discuss extractivism.
Regarding the establishment of the thematic tables, the Minister of Government, Francisco Jiménez, emphasized that these spaces are an unprecedented effort, that demonstrate a new way of doing politics, through the exchange of criteria with democracy and peace.
“This is a government that listens, makes decisions and the thematic tables are an example; They are an exercise that Ecuador should not abandon, allowing it to meet the needs of the most vulnerable sectors,” he stressed.
The national government has complied with the signing of the First Act of Agreements on the management of benefits in public and private banking. The financial relief that will be granted to Ecuadorian families reaches an investment of $540 million, which is broken down:
- $200 million for 30-year, 1% opportunity loans.
- $100 million for productive loans at 5% for up to 10 years.
- $120 million for microcredits in savings and credit cooperatives.
- $120 million from the CFN for microcredit through banks.
Meanwhile, financial intervention contemplates three main axes: forgiveness of debts, restructuring and requalification of credits and the delivery of new accessible credits, which are detailed:
- Credit amounts of up to $3,000 may be forgiven in accordance with Executive Decree 456.
- Loan amounts from $3,000 to $10,000 may be restructured and requalified, with payment flexibility with a 3-year grace period and up to a 10-year term.
- The credit of the opportunities will contemplate amounts of up to $5,000, with a rate of 1% up to a 30-year term.
It is indicated that the political will and the decision of the Government have allowed Ecuador to advance towards a State of dialogue that includes all social sectors and on which the needs that have been abandoned for decades are met. “The The Government will spare no effort in giving the country answers to the current economic and social situation; and likewise, it will seriously and committedly comply with the agreements reached at the thematic roundtables,” said Minister Francisco Jiménez.
