Surgeon and urologist Dr. Pablo Mateo has presented a penile enlargement procedure using hyaluronic acid as a minimally invasive alternative to conventional surgery.
Speaking in Santo Domingo, the specialist outlined the technique for men seeking to increase their penile circumference. He explained that the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and can yield natural results when the correct product and application methods are chosen for a suitable patient.

The presentation took place in a function room at the Holiday Inn hotel on Abraham Lincoln Avenue.
Specialist training required
Mateo emphasised that the procedure must only be carried out by a certified doctor who possesses specific training and a deep understanding of penile anatomy.
He stated that the process involves more than simply injecting hyaluronic acid because the penis has a highly specific functional and vascular anatomy. Practitioners must master the technique and be fully prepared to prevent, identify and manage any potential complications, he added.
The doctor highlighted the importance of using a certified urologist with specific training in andrology, sexual medicine and penile procedures. This ensures the practitioner has a comprehensive understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the male reproductive system.
Patient evaluation
Before any enlargement procedure takes place, Mateo said doctors must evaluate the patient to understand their expectations. He stressed the need to clearly explain the possible results, limitations and potential risks involved.
Mateo recently completed a fellowship in advanced andrology at the LYX Institute in Madrid, Spain. The programme focused on advanced andrological procedures, including penile enlargement, Peyronie's disease and penile prosthetic surgery.
Through presenting this technique, the specialist aims to ensure penile enlargement is treated as a strict medical procedure. He said it requires specialized training, anatomical knowledge, proper patient selection, informed consent and subsequent follow up.
The doctor concluded that penile enlargement is a medical procedure rather than a fad, and it must be performed with responsibility, training and knowledge.
