Fourteen-year-old D. F. L., also identified as Darlene, was found alive in a park in Chorrillos after remaining missing for four days since August 4. The National Police of Peru located the teenager following a citizen tip and reunited her with her family at the Mateo Pumacahua police station.

The search began after her family filed a missing person report at the El Progreso police station in Carabayllo. Authorities expanded their search radius after a member of the public reported that the minor might be in Villa El Salvador, leading to coordinated action across multiple police units.
Officers from the Laderas de Villa police station joined the operation and located the teenager in the Chorrillos park. Police officials stated that their priority throughout the deployment was finding the girl and ensuring her safety.
Roblox contact and financial demands
Initial police inquiries indicate that the teenager was in contact with a man identified as Roberto Luján through the online platform Roblox. Police officers are continuing investigations to establish the full circumstances of the case and trace the suspect.
According to statements by the teenager's mother, messages discovered by the family showed requests for the girl to take money from her family environment and deposit it into an account linked to a woman named Martha Edelmira González Horna.
The family also uncovered evidence of communication across social media platforms. The police report states that the man used a fake identity and induced the girl to create Instagram accounts to keep their conversations outside family supervision.
Authorities are investigating the involvement of the named individuals to determine who maintained contact with the girl during the four days she was missing.
