Darren Conway, a 52-year-old British man, pleaded guilty to a series of offences including inciting others to sexually assault unconscious women, in a case heard at Wood Green Crown Court in London.
Conway admitted charges of voyeurism, possession of extreme pornographic material, and conspiracy or incitement to commit sexual assault. He is due to be sentenced on 30 October.
Among the offences he admitted, Conway asked another man in 2025 to rape his wife while she was asleep and to send him photographs of the attack. Between 2023 and 2026, he asked at least ten times for photographs of unconscious women to be sent to him.
How the forum was uncovered
The online forum at the centre of the case was identified in October 2025. Members shared videos of sexual assaults and domestic violence recorded in different parts of the United Kingdom.
A large-scale investigation followed, coordinated by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the Metropolitan Police, London's police force. It led to Conway's arrest at his home on 30 July.
Commander Andy Day said that by inciting other people to attack victims who were unconscious, asleep or under the influence of drugs, Conway had exposed women to serious risks inside their own homes, purely for his own sexual gratification.
Authorities are continuing efforts to identify all the women whose photographs were found on digital storage devices at Conway's home. They have not ruled out that some of the victims may be outside the United Kingdom.
Part of a wider pattern
The case adds to a string of revelations about sexual violence against women drugged without their knowledge or through coercion. Among them is the case of Gisele Pelicot in France, whose husband drugged her for years and invited other men to rape her at their home. Dominique Pelicot was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
