Regina Allulli interrupted her Covington, Louisiana wedding after the officiant declared her and Brandon Keay husband and wife using wording that enraged the bride. The couple married in April in front of adoring family and friends, and the ceremony appeared to be going without a hitch until the final moment.

After completing the vows, the unnamed officiant declared, "Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to present the newly-married couple Mr and Mrs Brandon Keay." Allulli had been gazing at her guests with a soft smile, but she suddenly whipped her head back around to look directly at the celebrant.

While the crowd cheered in the background, Allulli remained unmoved and exchanged stern words with the celebrant. His facial expression changed dramatically before he appeared to roll his eyes, sighed, and prepared to announce the couple a second time.

Altered Wedding Announcement

Tweaking his announcement, the celebrant declared, "Mr Brandon Keay and his wife Regina Allulli." Allulli appeared much more satisfied with the renewed introduction, turning back toward the guests to lap up a second round of cheers.

The couple raised their clasped hands in celebration as Keay appeared overcome with a fit of giggles. However, a video clip that recently went viral on X caught a further conversation off camera.

In the off-camera audio, the celebrant stated, "You did not tell me that." Allulli hit back, "I thought you knew!" Keay tried to calm the situation by repeatedly stating, "I thought it was great," while another woman exclaimed that the new bride had given a "look of death."

Social Media Backlash

The video clip sparked a fierce debate and backlash across social media. While a handful of commenters supported the bride for standing up for herself publicly, a landslide of comments criticised her reaction.

One user scathed, "This is cooked. Good luck with that, buddy." Another added, "At the very least, she didn't have to make a scene. Whether she changed the name or not." A third wrote, "There are plenty of valid reasons for a wife to keep their last name. There are zero reasons to react the way she did. Run, don't walk, away from this marriage asap."

Other commenters agreed that the bride overreacted during the ceremony. One person commented, "Okay like... girl... calm down. This is not a big deal, but it does make you look CRAZY to react like that." A fifth commenter added, "Wow, he's in trouble and has a hard road ahead. He married a Karen."
