Amazon Prime Video has released its full lineup of new titles for August 2026, including original productions, returning series and a large wave of catalog films arriving at the start of the month.
Key new releases
One of the most anticipated arrivals is The Last Sunrise, a romantic drama based on a novel by Anna Todd. The film follows Ry, a young woman with a chronic illness, who falls into a romance with a man named Julian during a summer trip to Mallorca with her mother. It debuts on August 26.
Also arriving is Nickel Boys, based on Colson Whitehead’s novel and on real events at a Florida school. The film tells the story of two young Black men, Elwood and Turner, who are unjustly sent to an abusive and racist reform school in 1960s Florida. It lands on August 27.
The fourth season of Reacher premieres on August 12, adapting the thirteenth book in Lee Child’s series.
Catalog titles arriving August 1
More than 50 films join the catalog on August 1, including Pulp Fiction (1994), Fargo (1996), Interstellar (2014), Bridesmaids (2011), Licorice Pizza (2021), Women Talking (2022), Challengers (2024), The Usual Suspects (1995), Moonstruck (1988) and both versions of The Thomas Crown Affair. The full RoboCop trilogy and all three Barbershop films also arrive that day.
