Greek police have arrested a 26-year-old Afghan man in connection with the killing of Elizabeth Ross, a 38-year-old British national whose body was found stuffed inside a suitcase in an abandoned building in the Athens neighbourhood of Kypseli on 18 July 2026.
The Greek Police announced the arrest on Sunday, 2 August. The suspect was identified through the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and has reportedly confessed his involvement in the case.
Charges filed against him include premeditated homicide, robbery, and violations of weapons legislation, according to a police announcement.
Greek police said investigators cooperated with authorities from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Scotland in the course of the inquiry.
