the president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorstarted this Sunday in Havana official conversations with his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canelwithout making statements or comments to the large press that covers his visit.
Shortly after 10:00 local time (2:00 p.m. GMT), López Obrador arrived at the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana and, with a gigantic effigy of the Cuban-Argentine guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara behind him, laid a floral offering before the monument to the Hero National, Jose Marti.

Both rulers and their official retinues immediately withdrew to hold official talks in the same Palace.
López Obrador arrived in Havana on Saturday night for a 24-hour stay, the final stage of a tour on the issue of migration that took him to Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Belize.
Upon his arrival, he was received by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, before whom he highlighted the friendship ties between the two countries and inquired about the victims of the explosion that occurred on Friday at the Hotel Saratoga in Havana, which left at least 27 dead.
