After managing to remove 50 women, children and the elderly from the Azovstal steelworks, the Ukrainian authorities affirm that “this part of the Mariupol humanitarian operation has been completed”.

All the civilians who were in the Azovstal steelworksin Mariupolhave already been evacuated, as announced this Saturday by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk.
“Today we managed to get 50 women, children and elderly from Azovstal. Tomorrow morning we will continue with the evacuation operation,” Vereshchuk said via Telegram.
According to the Ukrainian deputy prime minister, the evacuation has been complexwith “constant violations” of the ceasefire by the Russian forces, who continue to fight in the steel mill against the Ukrainian troops.
The caravan to evacuate the refugees at the steel mill “has been forced to stay near Azovstal all day” as there have been “fights and other provocations. The enemy constantly violated the ceasefire.”
The fate of the evacuees will be Zaporizhiawhere the Ukrainian authorities have concentrated most of the civilians evacuated from the steelworks.
