Solidarity Poland wants to withhold contributions to the EU. He is demanding money for receiving refugees

The war has been going on for almost two months. Since then, 2.86 million refugees from Ukraine have arrived in Poland, the Border Guard informed on Wednesday.

Ziobroists want to withhold contributions to the European Union

Solidarna Polska, during the next meeting of the Council of Ministers, will propose to suspend the contribution paid by Poland to the European Union. After two months of the war, the European Commission did not transfer even one euro. Union of helplessness and hypocrisy

– wrote on Twitter the minister at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Wójcik from Solidarna Polska.

More information from the country

At a conference in the Sejm, Wójcik said that if she was unable to find a source of funding for refugees, “the politicians of Solidarity Poland indicate it specifically”. Wójcik was suggesting that this money would come from contributions amounting to “many billions of euros”. Annually, Poland pays an average of EUR 3.5 billion to the EU fund.

There is money for refugees, you only need to apply for it

Earlier, the Prime Minister complained about the lack of financial support from the European Union in connection with the adoption of millions by Poland. Experts, however, point out that funds have already been allocated for this purpose. On April 6, Ursula von der Leyen pledged in the European Parliament to transfer 3.4 billion euros to countries that had accepted refugees. However, these measures should be applied for from the Community.

If the government wanted to get money from the EU, it would get it. But it has to be done in good time. You have to strive for EU money. And the government is behaving as if the European Commission was to strive for Poland to get the money. As part of the cohesion fund package, the program that allows you to get extra money has been increased. Member States may apply for these funds

In addition, last Friday RMF FM correspondent Katarzyna Szymańska-Borginon informed that this is the largest amount granted from the React-EU Fund. Poland received EUR 559 million, Romania 450, Hungary – less than 300, Czech Republic – 283, Slovakia – 209, Bulgaria – 148.

In total, Poland will receive over a billion euro from the React-EU Fund to be used to help refugees. The amount referred to above is a 45% advance payment that can be used immediately.
