A group of female students protested this Monday inside the facilities of the Escuela Agrícola Panamericana, known as Universidad de El Zamorano, after learning of the rape of two young first-year students, according to Honduran media.
The case began to spread on social networks after the complaint of a mother of a family who exposed the existence of an alleged violation in the educational center located in Honduras.
Said complaint was exposed in a television media regarding a sexual attack against two female students. According to the complainant, the rapist would be another student at the center. Hundreds of young people from various countries around the world study at El Zamorano.
The authorities of the renowned agricultural university spoke in a statement in which they stated that they have provided help to the people involved and their families, as well as to the authorities to carry out an investigation to clarify the situation.
According to tweets commenting on the case, the sexual assault would have been committed against two first-year students, of Ecuadorian nationality, by another compatriot. The person involved has been detained by the Public Ministry, according to information from Honduran media.
