Former British Prime Minister david cameron revealed this Friday that he is on his way to Poland, driving a truck loaded with supplies and humanitarian aid destined for refugees from the Ukrainian war.
The conservative politician, who occupied number 10 Downing Street between 2010 and 2016, has published a photograph on Twitter in which he appears sitting at the wheel of a heavy vehicle. “It’s going to be a long trip, I’ll keep you informed along the way”points out the former head of government in his tweet.
Cameron is traveling with two other people from the Chippy Larder charity, which he says he has been collaborating with for the past two years. “In the last two weeks we have made an appeal to receive the things that the refugees from Ukraine need when they arrive in Poland. The response has been incredible.“, says the exmandatario “tory”.
Thanks to these donations, volunteers from the organization in Chipping Norton, a town in a wealthy area of the English countryside, west of London, have filled a “small truck” with clothing, diapers, sanitary and first aid material, among other products, which will be delivered to the Red Cross. “The generosity of the West Oxfordshire (county) community, and British citizens in general, has typically been phenomenal, stepping up to help our neighbors in their time of need,” Cameron said.
