The Russian Army has bombed tonight the surroundings of the Lviv airport, in western Ukraine and the crossing point used by most Ukrainians fleeing to the European Union via Poland. “The Rashist missiles hit the area near Lviv airport,” the city’s mayor, Andriy Sadovy, announced on his Telegram account.

“Several missiles hit the aircraft repair plant. Its buildings were destroyed by the (missile) hits. Work on this plant had previously been stopped, so there are no casualties,” it added.

Apparently, the area attacked is not the heart of the airport, but the bombings have damaged the buildings attached to the airport facilities, as explained by the mayor.

Sadovy has indicated that what happened is being studied and has advised the population to follow the instructions of the local authorities and protect themselves after hearing the air alarms. In addition, he has asked them not to publish photos of the attacked areas.
