Hours earlier, the president of Ukraine, Volodomir Zelenskystated that the positions in the negotiations with Russia for a ceasefire are now more realistic, but that time is still needed for the decisions “to be in the interest of Ukraine”.

Sixth round of talks

Today is the sixth day of negotiations, also by videoconference, in which the sanctions that the West has imposed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine on February 24 are also discussed.

It is discussing “in general, this whole crazy situation with economic sanctions, which, of course, no longer resembles any sanctions, but a full-fledged, large-scale and historically unprecedented economic war against Russia”, has added.

What model of neutrality?

“(Ukraine’s) neutrality status is now being seriously discussed in conjunction, of course, with security guarantees,” Russian Minister Lavrov said.

The possibility of Ukraine becoming a demilitarized statein the style of Austria or Sweden, is one of the options being discussed in the negotiations between Moscow and kyiv, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has assured.
