The brutal war cruelty: Video shows a Russian tank firing over and over again at a residential building in Ukraine

The Russia-Ukraine conflict continues to leave dramatic scenes for the history of both nations and the consequences of Vladimir Putin’s decision are destroying the modern and prosperous residential areas of the thriving European nation.

The Ukrainian city of Mariúpol, in the south of the country, continues to experience one of the harshest situations of the war in Ukraine. Surrounded by the Russian army, its population of about 450,000 people cannot escape the fighting, so food and medicine supplies have been in short supply for several days.

Given this scenario, the town is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe, something that is recognized by both local authorities and Moscow and the international community, according to El Español.

A Russian tank fires on a residential building

Last week shocking images of a tank attacking a maternity hospital in the city were spread on social networks, now the combat has moved to a suburb and the war vehicle bombs residential apartments in Mariupol.

In the videos you can see the destruction caused by a Russian tank, marked with the “Z” symbol, on buildings in the town.

Despite the critical situation in Mariupol and other areas of Ukraine, the Russian president still does not give in and shows no interest in lowering the intensity of the offensive. After a call with his French counterparts, Emmanuel Macron, and German, Olaf Scholz, Putin has no intention of stopping the war.

The French government pointed out that the situation in towns such as Mariúpol is “humanly unsustainable” and ruled out Moscow’s version, which claims that it is the result of the actions of Ukrainian troops.

Russia has also stepped up bombing around kyiv, in what appears to be its new modus operandi after the ground invasion it launched on February 24 failed to conquer the country with a lightning offensive.
