The fourth meeting between both parties has taken place by videoconference. The adviser to the Presidency of Ukraine, Mijailo Podoliak, has announced that they will hold “a technical recess to additionally work in the working subgroups and clarify individual positions.”
The negotiating teams of Russia and Ukraine have met for the fourth time, this time for video conference. Neither the content nor the result of the meeting has transpired, although both parties have acknowledged “progress”.
The adviser to the Presidency of Ukraine Mikhailo Podoliak reported later that the talks have taken a “technical break” and will resume on Tuesday.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Podoliak has conveyed that the “recess” is intended to facilitate “additional work” by working subgroups and the specification of certain definitions, without giving further details. “Negotiations continue”, he has assured him.
A technical pause has been taken in the negotiations until tomorrow. For additional work in the working subgroups and clarification of individual definitions. Negotiations continue…

The negotiators have met this Monday via videoconference. On Sunday it transpired that the negotiation teams have begun to perceive certain touch points in the talks for a ceasefire and the suspension of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, although there is still a long way to go to finalize positions.
Podoliak had said earlier that the “immediate withdrawal” of Russian troops from the country and “security guarantees” would be discussed during the round of talks.
Neither of the two negotiating teams has wanted to specify requests in public. Until now it was known that Russia was demanding that Ukraine recognize the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, forget about its aspirations over Crimea and promise that it would never join NATO, demands that are unacceptable in principle for Ukraine.
