Young man adopts the dog that saved his life after his house was bombed in Ukraine

This was recently demonstrated in Ukraine, when a puppy saved the life of a young woman after her house was bombed.

In an interview granted to the media mirror, Daryna Sarig, a 23-year-old, recounted how the puppy saved her life and why she later decided to adopt him.

Sarig said that the building in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where she lived was bombed last week. The young woman panicked and hid in the basement. She felt an indescribable fear, however, at that moment she received a surprise, she was not alone, Marcel was with her.

The young woman said that the dog, named Marcel, snuggled up against her when she was sitting on the floor. She revealed that her puppy gave her the support and love that she needed at the time.

Sarig related that they heard the rockets. “I was on the ground when Marcel approached me. He was shaking, stressed and very scared. I thought we would die and our building would collapse. He came to me, he put me at ease. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know how I would have made it,” she added.

Sarig learned that the pet’s owners had fled the country and abandoned it. So, she couldn’t bear to leave her, which is why she decided to adopt her.

“Marcel saved me, so now I have to save him. I was very scared hiding in the basement of my building, it was cold and completely dark for two of the days without much food. In total, we spent seven days there,” the young woman told TheMirror. (I)
