The delegations of Ukraine and Russia have agreed open humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of food and medicine to the population.

Both parties held this afternoon a meeting in belarus and next week they will meet again to try to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine. It will be the third round of talks since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine a week ago.

The adviser to the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliakexplained that the humanitarian corridors will be created “jointly” between the two countries and that they will decree “a temporary ceasefire” only in evacuation zones to facilitate the transit of refugees.

On the other hand, Podoliak has also pointed out that the Ukrainian negotiating delegation “didn’t get the results you expected” and that “the dialogue will continue in a third round of talks.”
