Alaska and Nacho Canut prepare the release of ‘Edificaciones Paganas’: all about Fangoria’s new EP

Fangoria is a musical group in constant reinvention. The duo formed by Alaska and Nacho Canut prepares the release of ‘Edificaciones Paganas’, a new EP that will be on sale March 4 and will continue the trilogy started by ‘Pop Existentialism’published in 2021.

In their latest release, which they presented at Aruser@s, Alaska and Nacho Canut emphasized their desire to “back on stage” and they explained the message they wanted to send with ‘Pop Existentialism’: “Thinking about today, even if it’s difficult”.

This will be ‘Pagan Buildings’

The first thing that characterizes ‘Pagan Buildings’ the thing is it is not an album as such. The format of this collection of songs is EP, a type of musical recording between the single and the album. Thus, like ‘Pop Existentialism’, this release will feature five songs: ‘My vital bubble’, ‘The million dollar question, ‘I don’t feel sorry for you’, ‘From one to ten’ and ‘Satanism, abstract art and Benidorm’.

Of these five songs, ‘My vital bubble’ was chosen as a preview of this minidisc. It was published at the beginning of February and has a video clip that reflects the tv aesthetic of the 1970s. The audiovisual piece features nods to stars of the time, such as Raffaella Carraand with a direction of photography reminiscent of Valery Lazarovwhich uses zoom in and zoom out as visual resources.

In the rest of the songs on ‘Edificaciones Paganas’ they combine techno pop, house pop and other styles that reaffirm Fangoria’s commitment to eclecticism. In addition, the photography and design are in charge of Juan Gattiwhich has defined the group’s visual identity for years.
