Clothes, food, medicines and donations: this is how Ukraine can be helped from Spain

We are already advancing on the seventh day of war in Ukraine and dozens of associations and institutions have mobilized to send aid. With each passing day, human and material losses increase. Meanwhile, the survivors have begun to ration food due to the shortage of products in supermarkets. It is the harsh reality that comes after the Russian attack on Ukraine. Low temperatures don’t help either. There are many needs, from warm clothes and shoes for the winter to medicines and medical supplies. And although, as reported by the Red Cross, there is no humanitarian corridor accepted by all those involvedNGOs and voluntary organizations, mostly of Ukrainians in Spain, they are managing to get tons of aid into Ukraine.

Countries are also activating their host mechanisms to welcome the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, mostly women with children, trying to leave the country.

We can all help to a greater or lesser extent. From parishes, neighborhood communities or small associations like the one in the video that illustrates this informationto institutions or large NGOs that have been working in the area for years.

The simplest way to help at this time is contact nearby neighborhood associations to our place of residence, get information through the town hall and its social networks. In practically all municipalities there are initiatives underway. Help can also be offered through donations. Below we point out some of the solidarity options.

It is generating a reception network for Ukrainian refugees on the border of nearby countries (Romania, Poland and Lithuania). They also deliver essential humanitarian aid, such as winter kits and hygiene kits. And they make cash transfers to families so they can meet basic needs like food, water, clothing and medicine. Here you can help them.
