Russian missile hits administrative building in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city

Russia began to attack Ukraine’s territories with more force and this time decided to destroy, without measuring the consequences, an administrative building in Kharkiv (Kharkiv).)the second largest city in Ukraine after Kiev.

During the early hours of this Tuesday, a video shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Twitter showed the precise moment in which a Russian missile hit the building, generating a strong explosion that covered that side of the city in flames.

Accusing Russia of targeting civilians in violation of international law, the Ukrainian ministry noted that “Russia is waging a war in violation of international humanitarian law. Kill civilians, destroy civilian infrastructure. Russia’s main target is the big cities at which they now fire their missiles.”

On the other hand, the minister of that important portfolio, Dmytro Kuleba, also shared the clip indicating that “The barbaric Russian missile attacks on the central Freedom Square and residential districts of Kharkiv. Putin is incapable of bringing down Ukraine. He commits more war crimes out of rage, murdering innocent civilians. The world can and must do more. INCREASE THE PRESSURE, ISOLATE RUSSIA TOTALLY!”

As detailed by the UN on Monday, about 520,000 people fled from Ukraine towards the bordering countries since the military offensive began on Thursday by Russia.

Ukraine borders seven countries, Russia to the north and east, Belarus to the north, Poland and Slovakia to the west, and Romania, Hungary, and Moldova to the southwest.

Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, especially children and women, fled in overflowing trains, cars and even walking with their suitcases, the AFP agency detailed.

Yesterday, during the UN special session on the invasion of Ukraine, Kiev said that 352 civilians, including 14 children, had died so far.
