The Kremlin had sent this Sunday a Russian negotiating delegation to Belarus to start talks with Ukrainian representatives on the war between Russia and Ukraine, according to the spokesman for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov. For his part, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, refused this morning to have those talks with Russia in Belarus, denouncing that dialogue cannot take place in a country that is complicit in Russian aggression against Ukraine. Nevertheless, has left the door open for these talks to take place elsewhere, to finally agree to meet in Gomel.
The sending of that delegation from Moscow arrives in the fourth day of russian invasionwhich began in the early hours of Thursday, with Kremlin forces stalking Kiev and seizing other cities, such as Kharkivthe second largest in the country, with 1.4 million inhabitants.
This Saturday Ukraine accused Russia of wanting to lead possible negotiations to stop the war to a dead end before they start, by falsely claiming that Kiev refuses to sit at the table to talk and put conditions on the talks.
