No goals in the derby, Radomiak dreams of cups, a missed chance for Warta

Before this match, he had only three, and Zagłębie Lubin only one point advantage over the relegation zone. This meant that the Sunday derby in Wrocław had a huge weight in terms of species. The hosts, who scored only a point in the last six games, had more to prove, and their biggest star, the Spaniard Erik Exposito, returned to their ranks after the failure of the transfer to China.

Silesia had an advantage in this game, and quite a clear one, but when it came to creating goal opportunities, there were plenty of them on both sides. However, it lacked efficiency, especially in the 69th minute, when Martin Doleżal did not use a great chance. The Czech striker received the ball five meters from his opponent’s almost empty goal, but sent the ball over the bar.

Wojciech Golla and Robert Pich could not turn good situations into a goal, as well as Kacper Chodyna on the other side of the field and the match in Wrocław ended with a goalless draw, which is not organized by either side. The relegation zone is still very close to both Silesia and Zagłębie.

Radomiak better than Lechia. English’s two goals

In direct competition for the fourth place in the table, which can be achieved in European cups, he defeated Lechiê Gdañsk 2-0 at home.

The sensational newcomer from Radom scored both goals due to penalty kicks, which the judge Sebastian Jarzębak dictated only after VAR interventions. In the 33rd minute, Filip Koperski caught Luis Machado in his own penalty area. And although Karol Angielski did not manage to defeat Dusan Kuciak from eleven meters, he managed to finish his shot with his head and open the result of the match.

In the 69th minute, Lechia’s goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak knocked Mario Rondo down. This time, English did not make a mistake from the penalty spot and set the score at 2: 0. Thanks to this win, Radomiak was ahead of the fourth place in the league table, although both teams have 39 points.

Jagiellonia draws with Warta despite weakening for over an hour. Castaneda’s debut goal

The first game on Sunday was the match with Warta Poznań, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The hosts had to play the bull’s eye for almost 70 minutes, because in the 24th minute their defender Bogdan Tiru saw the red card. The Romanian tried to roll over in the Warta penalty area, but instead of a ball he hit Michał Kopczyński’s head powerfully, knocking out his opponent.

Jagiellonia had to cope with the weakening, but her rival was completely unable to play in the position attack. Despite such a long advantage of one player, she practically did not create goals for herself. Throughout the match, she fired only eight shots, including two on target. Nevertheless, in the 63rd minute she took the lead. After the guests’ counterattack, Miłosz Szczepański successfully defeated Michał Pazdan in the penalty area and hit the post, but Frank Castaneda, recently brought from Sheriff Tiraspol, managed to score the first goal in the league.

However, Warta was leading only for two minutes, because in the next option Karol Struski won against Warta defender Dawid Szymonowicz and after his courageous action with a flat shot from several meters Tomas Prikryl hit the net.

Jagiellonia tied with Warta 1: 1. The hosts moved away from the relegation zone by seven points. Warta, in turn, is two points above the “dash”.
