In the midst of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, stories of heroism of soldiers who bravely faced the Russian troops, who have been making their way throughout the Ukrainian territory, continue to appear.

According to the newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth), the Russians reached the island of Snakes, located in the Black Sea 45 kilometers from the coasts of Romania and Ukraine, and with an area of ​​only 0.17 km² .

There, thirteen border guards they stood firm against the invasion and refused to surrender. But the most striking are his last words, which have gone viral on social networks.

The Russians recommended them to surrender their weapons and capitulate, as evidenced by a leaked audio of the conversation between the two sides.

“This is a Russian military warship. I suggest you lay down your weapons and surrender to avoid unnecessary bloodshed and casualties. Otherwise, she will be bombed”a Russian official announced.

One of the members of the Ukrainian detachment made a decision and answered: “Russian warship, fuck you”. The guards signed his sentence. Those were the last words heard on the island.

Shortly after the bombs arrived that ended their lives. The country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced that they will be honored posthumously as Heroes of Ukraine. “They died heroically, but they did not give up”the president pointed out.
