Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba said that his country has started collecting facts about the actions of the Russian armed forces after the invasion of the country to send them to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“Today’s Russian attacks on a kindergarten and an orphanage are war crimes and violations of the Rome Statute,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter, where he announced that these and other facts “will be sent to the ICC.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy assured that the Foreign Ministry is collecting evidence together with the Prosecutor General’s Office to send it “immediately to The Hague”. “They will not be able to escape punishment,” he added.
The Ukrainian authorities have accused since the beginning of the Russian military operation against Ukraine ordered this Thursday by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, of attacking civilian facilities, something that the Russian Ministry of Defense has denied.
