Ukraine has called to arms the volunteers of the Territorial Defense Units before the start of the Russian military operation ordered this Thursday by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Ukraine has entered full defense mode. Anyone who is ready and able to hold a weapon can join the Territorial Defense Units in their region.” announced this military training on its Facebook page, listing the addresses of all the country’s recruitment centers.
To obtain weapons, says the statement published by this military body, all you have to do is go to the headquarters of the regional brigades and battalions with an identification document.
The Territorial Defense Units are made up of civilians willing to take up arms and defend Ukrainian cities in the event of a Russian invasion.
