The Prosecutor’s Office detailed that 1.17 kilograms of cocaine, 19.36 kilograms of marijuana and less than one kilogram of methamphetamine were seized.
The National Civil Police of El Salvador (PNC), by order of the Attorney General’s Office, captured 13 alleged members of a drug trafficking gang that brought drugs from Guatemala on Sunday.
The Public Ministry reported that the arrests were made after operations carried out in the municipalities of San Salvador and La Libertad.
It indicated that, according to the investigations, the drug allegedly marketed by these people was brought from Guatemala and “distributed in vehicles with the facade of an individual transportation services platform.”

The detainees will be referred to a specialized court in the next few hours, added the source, who did not link the people arrested with gangs.
