According to the evaluations of the Cuban health authorities, the Caribbean country has gradually reduced the number of Covid-19 patients for 33 consecutive days and in the last two weeks reported the lowest number of pediatric cases, registering 362 positive patients.

This behavior of the epidemiological situation is attributed to the march of mass immunization in the country, which according to data from the Minsap has reached 100 percent of the vaccinable population of Cuba (more than 9.7 million people) with at least the first dose of one of the three anticovid-19 formulas created on the island.

Cuba does not integrate the Covax mechanism created by the World Health Organization for low- and middle-income countries to access vaccines, nor did it buy them on the international market. (I)
