The rectification has come hours after Parliament definitively adopted the bill that will impose a vaccination certificate for many activities of social life, which includes attending sporting events.
The French Government has finally decided that tennis player Novak Djokovic will not be able to participate in Roland Garros for not being vaccinated. A few days ago he had indicated that the Serbian could participate in the tournament, scheduled between the end of May and the beginning of June.
The rectification has come hours after Parliament definitively adopted the bill that will impose a vaccination certificate for many activities of social life, which includes attending sporting events.
The French head of Sports Roxana Maracineanu argued on January 7 that France would apply an exception to the obligation of the vaccination certificate for athletes in international competitions, so that the new French regulations would not apply to them and they could compete even without being immunized.
Now, however, Maracineanu has rectified and has warned that tAll those who compete will have to have the complete guideline, as will be required of the public and the professionals involved.
In a message on her Twitter account, the French head of Sports has confirmed that this health certificate has been adopted, so that “since the law is enacted, it will be mandatory to enter the spaces already subject to the health passport (stadiums, theaters or salons) for all spectators, practitioners, professionals, French or foreign”.
Tennis player Djokovic lands in Dubai after being deported from Australia
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic landed this morning at Dubai airport from Melbourne, after being deported by Australia. A court ratified this Sunday the cancellation of his visa and his deportation.
After several days of controversy, Australia finally denied entry to the tennis player for not meeting the access requirements at the health level despite the fact that he had traveled with a medical exemption since you are not vaccinated against the coronavirus.
As the world number one tennis player flew from Melbourne to Dubai, the Australian prime minister has stated that he could return to the country within three years if “the right circumstances” are given. Under the law, if you are deported, you cannot enter Australia for three years.
From Dubai it will fly to Belgrade (Serbia).
